We are on a semi-urban beach in Villajoyosa, 210m long and 4m wide. It is located between the new promenade and a mountainous area. It has two more comfortable spaces, with gravel and smaller boulders, the rest are boluses or larger boulders.
It is a short distance from Centro beach and has a very low occupancy even in high season so we will be quiet in this place. There is an area where neighbors make small pools with rocks and bowling that protect the waves and are a good place for young children to take a bath without being disturbed by the waves. There are a few eucalyptus that give us enough shade close to the beach. We have a beach bar in summer, in a part that is like a terrace to the sea and where we can enjoy nights with live music.
It is a very good place to snorkel when the sea is calm and we can go swimming from here to the neighboring cove of the Malladeta, passing in front of the cliffs and where we will enjoy a seabed with rocky plates, sandy bottoms and areas with oceanic posidonia very varied and lively.
It is a good place from where to start a route with kayak or paddle surf as the parking is very close and there is a slope where you can go down comfortably with our equipment. We can go towards Central beach or towards the south towards Paraiso beach and if we are in shape and the wind allows it, we can reach the Caleta or the canine beach of Charco.
If we like to walk, we can climb the small mountain next to the beach and make a visit to the Malladeta site, where there are remains of houses. It was an Iberian and later a Roman sanctuary and an observation point of the solar cycles that indicated the beginning of the harvests. If the sun rises close to the Island of Benidorm we are in one of the equinoxes. Also we will see in the way the Villa Giacomina and several elevated points from where to observe the sea, the coast and good views where to contemplate the sunrise and sunset.
We have a public car park with about 10 places right next to it and an avenue with car parks in the shade of trees in the adjacent area.
