This small natural cove of 100 m long and 5 meters wide is formed by a rocky platform and large rocks around.
We are at the foot of the Peñón de Ifach, which, along with the blue Mediterranean, becomes a wonderful natural setting that has little to do with the overcrowded Calpe we know. Nature and the sound of the sea will embrace us to bring us tranquility and well-being. If we look to the other side, we will find beautiful views belonging to the bay where the La Fosa Beach is located.
We can access this cove through a path that is in a pine forest from the Peñón de Ifach, so we recommend comfortable shoes and the use of booties or similar for swimming due to the rocky terrain both in and out of the water.
Its calm and crystal clear waters, as well as the posidonia meadows and its proximity to the rock, make it ideal for snorkeling, scuba diving or recreational freediving. There is an average depth of 4 or 5 meters when we move away from the cove and we find large rock formations that create small mountains under the sea and perfect hiding places for fish and octopus.
As for parking, we can park our vehicles in a fairly large parking lot that we will find at the beginning of the climb to the rock, already in the Natural Park of the Peñon de Ifach. To get to the cove we will have to walk about 5-10 minutes. Another way to get there is to use public transport. By bus: BUS L9 and streetcar: L9, you can get close to the Peñón de Ifach and then walk to the cove.
In this cove there is no lifeguard and it is not recommended for people with reduced mobility because we must go down a path that at several points has quite a steep slope. For this reason we do not recommend leaving here with kayak or paddle surf board because of the difficult access, but we do it from the other side of the rock, in Racó Cove which has access with paved road and parking.
If you are looking to get lost in nature, this is your cove.
