This is a boulder beach with some parts of sand and it is one of the most visited of Villajoyosa, even so it has an average occupation because of it is one kilometer large and 26 meters of width, and it is for this, we can stay relaxed without crowds.
One of its characteristics is that it is semi-urban, there are an urbanization and buildings behind it but its view it’s completely natural, like it name says, it is paradisiac. We are in a zone with precious views, adorned with palms along its whole extension. The boulders usually produces, even with little swell, clouds of dust that made the ocean looks a caribbean turquoise color. The beach is bounded by rocky cliffs.
In high season we are provided with many services: two chiringuitos (kiosks) (day and night), surveillance, umbrellas and hammocks renting, access for the handicapped, shower for feet and a big parking. We also are provided of the Camping Paraiso where we can rent kayaks and paddle surf boards and we can spend a night with our caravan, van, camper or tent camp.
We have several accommodations to stay near the beach. In the first line there is the villa with garden and swimming pool Vila Paradís or the Hotel El Artista, very close to the beach. There are also several apartments nearby such as Sainvi, Sainvi 39C or Partida Paraiso. You can see more accommodations of all Villajoyosa here.
To the snorkeling fans, there is a zone at the north, under the hill where it is the Malladeta iberian archeological site, where we will enjoy the variety of the ocean floors, with rocks and sand, oceanic posidonia meadows and much life which extends until the Punta del Moro cove. In the south we have a small zone of rocky cliffs and its sea bottom is really nice to observe. We can go by foot, and travel all that zone where we will have a high great views of that part of the coast and where will see the Villa Giacomina, which is deteriorated actually, but it is expected that the town hall will restore it.
We also have good routes for kayak or paddle surf board, both to the north, passing the site between the cliffs created by the Malladeta cove, and to the south where we will enjoy the view of high number of coves separated by rounded and sinuous cliffs, coves like Bol Nou, Esparrello beach, Caleta beach and a little far away, Charco Beach, presided by a beautiful watchtower.
The access to this beach is really good because we have a very big public parking next to it, although, with sand floor and without shadows. We also can access to the beach with the line 1 of TRAM, train which arrives from Benidorm or Alicante to Paradis station with 30 minutes of frequency.
