This urban cove, located within the Cabo de la Huerta, in the municipality of Alicante, is a small sandy cove of about 5 metres. On both sides we have platforms of rock, in which we can also lie down with a towel since the rock is flat and largely rounded. We also have an artificial jetty on the left and a natural jetty on the right, so the cove is quite protected from the waves. A little further south, we have Cala Cantalar, where we can practice nudism.
It has very good conditions to practice snorkeling because of the protection it has and because of the rocky coast that we can swim along and its shallow depth near the coast. The centers of diving of Alicante bring up to here to realize his courses of baptism and open water. You can see kayaks and people practicing SUP - Paddle Surf because of the easy access by car and being a place from where to start a route through the area of Cabo de Huertas . It is also an area of passage within the path that runs all the way to Cabo de Huertas along the coast, so we have many activities to do besides enjoying the sun and a refreshing swim in the sea.
Hay un pequeño aparcamiento para unos siete u ocho coches justo en la entrada y también disponemos de aparcamientos en las calles de la urbanización aledaña. Puedes venir también con transporte público, tanto con el autobús de la línea 22, parando en el Camino del Faro que está a 10 minutos andando y con la línea 4 del TRAM, en la parada Cabo de Huertas, con lo que tardaremos 16 minutos.
There is a small parking lot for about seven or eight cars right at the entrance and we also have parking lots on the streets of the neighboring urbanization. You can also come by public transport, both with the bus line 22, stopping at the Camino del Faro which is 10 minutes walk and with the TRAM line 4, at the Cabo de Huertas stop, which will take 16 minutes.
Very close by, heading west, we have the nudist cove of El Cantalar and to the north the extensive beach of Playa de San Juan. Until we reach the beach, there are rocky areas where we can sunbathe.
