Caring for Beaches 7 Tips

This natural cove, accessible only by sea, is located in Calpe, surrounded by mountains, between two rocky outcrops of the Morro de Toix. It is made of large boulders and pebbles with a length of 20m and a width of 7m.

If we look around from the cove we can see the great cliffs of the Sierra de Toix at this point. There are few places on the Costa Blanca where you can enjoy such a mountainous environment and the sea at the same time. On both sides there are rock platforms and on the northern side, we can walk on them and explore the area a little. If we reach the ledge we can see the Ifach Rock in the background.

This place is perfect if you like to enjoy uncrowded natural areas, although we can't guarantee that you'll be alone. Of course, to get here you will have to get here in some kind of boat or by kayaking, paddle surfing or you can also swim 350 metres from the southernmost part of The Urques Cove (Cala de les Urques).

With the snorkel we reached this cove and were delighted with the marine landscape and the rocky bottoms that we found along the route.

You can get here by paddle surfing or kayaking from Playa Mascarat in Altea to Cala Gasparet. If you like to practice these sports, we highly recommend this route to observe the beautiful views of this area of cliffs facing the sea.

Finally, we ask you to take everything you bring with you and if possible to take away the waste that the waves bring with them, as there is no rubbish collection service here. Enjoy this place!
