The city centre beach in Villajoyosa, 1190m long, 30m on average and with fine sand, starts in front of the colourful houses of the old town and ends in the sport and fishing port. This urban beach will captivate us, both for the quality of its waters and for its beautiful landscape, with a promenade and sets of palm trees that allow us to protect ourselves from the sun. Essential if you come here, take a walk to see the narrow streets of its historic center, walled area and its museum VilaMuseu, to learn the history of the ancient Allon, an important Roman city.

Panoramic view from the breakwater of the southern area.

It is the neighbouring city of Benidorm, but here the tourism is much more balanced and we will not have the agglomerations of its beaches. In high season has surveillance services, red cross, wc, wooden walkways, playground for children, volleyball nets, inflatable castle in the sea, rental of hammocks and umbrellas, shower feet and access for the disabled. In the southern part we have rental of jet skis, paddle surf and kayak.

In the port we have the Ali-Sub diving center with which you can visit, among other places, the Roman wreck Bou Ferrer which has been under the sea for 2000 years, a sailing school and we can also rent jet skis or take a boat tour to Benidorm Island.

Although this beach is sandy, those who like to snorkel have several very good points to practice it. The first is the southern breakwater, where we have rocks at shallow depth and we can see multitude of fish. From here to the center is all sandy bottom, so we can not observe many things. Then from the center, where the inflatable castle is mounted to the north jetty, we have rocky areas, sandy bottom and interspersed oceanic posidonia meadows. This area is highly recommended. In the northern part there is also a breakwater before the port which is good area. It is called the "basseta de l'oli" because normally the sea is very calm in this area.

Area of palm trees where you can protect yourself from the sun.

There is a promenade that runs along the beach and where we can find all kinds of restaurants that offer a multitude of gastronomic variety concentrated between the old town and downtown. Also in the area adjacent to the port are quite a few restaurants. There are several hotels along the beach and where to stay in this municipality.

We have a public parking right next to the espigón south of the beach, in an open field in front of the sea quite large. In the area of the port, the continuation of the promenade has some parking also.

Playa bastante concurrida muy recomendada para observar el desembarco moro, celebración turística muy interesante. En cuanto a la playa se presta de numerosos servicios, como alquiler de náuticos, hamacas, zona infantil... entre otros. Aguas muy tranquilas
